Janae Motley is a Haitian-American animator, writer, and visual artist based in New Jersey. Her love of all things animated formed early during her childhood. One could find her on the couch at five in the morning watching classics such as Courage the Cowardly Dog, El Tigre, Yin Yang Yo!, and more. Seeing how these shows made her and many other children blissfully happy, and how they educated their audiences on social issues that affect adolescents spurred her drive to become an animator.

Her ambition and hard work provided her acceptance to New York University Tisch School of the Arts, where she graduated with honors in Film and Television and a focus in animation. One of her main goals is to use visual storytelling to create the same fun and lighthearted vibes as the cartoons that cemented her childhood. She draws inspiration from her own personal experiences, especially the antics of her family and friends.

During her studies she has also honed her skills in storyboarding, 3D animation, creative writing, filmmaking, screenwriting, script analysis, and casting.
